It's very difficult to talk about a winery that bears a name so pompous, which behind shine through centuries of Italian history, Popes and Princes. The history of the Farnese family can be traced back to 1582, when Princess Margaret of Austria, daughter of Emperor Charles V and wife of Ottavio Farnese, bought the entire town of Ortona. Fascinated by the salubrious air and the beautiful landscape, immediately decided to build a palace by the sea to spend long periods of rest and relaxation. She herself give great impetus to the production of fine wines in Abruzzo, making them known and appreciated in the banquets of the principal European courts. Today, the winery Farnese confirmed as one of the most versatile and articulate of the entire landscape in Abruzzo. The production is dominated in particular by “Folle” and the “Cinque Autoctoni”. In this wines clearly emerges the typicality of the Hills Teramane, which gives them great character and elegance.
