Poderi San Lazzaro winery was founded in 2003, when Paolo Capriotti decides to continue under organic wine tradition family. This splendid reality of Offida is in an optimal position for the ripening of the grapes: in the middle of the hill, 290 meters above sea level, close to the Adriatic sea and the Apennines, in the heart of the Rosso Piceno Superiore, a historical Italian DOC.
The passion and enthusiasm have allowed Paolo to continue the business initially started by his father, giving priority to the improvement of the vineyards. Little technology, facilities and reduced biological management have accompanied his work in recent years, helping to give birth to wines that are already at the top of Piceno’s oenology.
There are 8 hectares of vineyards in production, located on ventilated slopes facing south and west, on clayey and compact soils. Most of the plants is recent, except a vineyard of more than seventy years, the grapes that are destined to Podere 72.
All measures adopted by the winery are excellent results for the production of complex and crisp wines, able to release typical flavors and aromas of the territory of Offida. Corporate style looks-oriented approach to the right balance, always with a pricing policy that more affordable compared to the high quality of the wines produced.
