Passion, courage and confidence in the enormous potential quality that Puglia, and in particular the areas of Castel del Monte and the Salento, are the elements that have led Antinori to invest in this region. The philosophy that has encouraged Antinori to create this wonderful reality in Puglia is to produce great wines from native grapes of Puglia; in fact, most of the vineyards of the company is cultivated with grapes that have always found to grow in these beautiful grounds.
From the beginning, Tormaresca has always tried to be at the forefront of the great potential quality of the varieties, being often not properly valued and appreciated, but, working with passion and commitment, they are capable of giving wines of great character, being traditional and structured, being also modern and pleasant.
Tormaresca winery consists of two estates located in the best areas of wine production in the region: Bocca di Lupo estate, in the Doc Castel del Monte, surrounded by the wild Murgia and Masseria Maime in Salento area, the heart of Puglia.
Over the years, Tormaresca has proved to be a real strong point of Antinori, inextricably linked to the Apulian territory. Mechanization, replanting programmed and conventional farming methods (in Salento), do not conflict with the preservation of the environment: in fact, many hectares have been left in the forest. A winery where Marchesi Antinori have placed great trust and that, from year to year, is proving to be at the top of the Puglia’s winemaking.
