Carignano del Sulcis Riserva 'Grotta Rossa' Santadi 2012

The Carignano del Sulcis Reserve “Grotta Rossa” by Santadi comes from Carignano grapes vinified from vineyards planted a sapling in the Sulcis, one of the most beautiful areas of Sardinia, on soils are clayey, sandy and calcareous soils. The mission of Santadi is ambitious: to introduce the wines of its territory as a whole by focusing on quality. One aspect that makes this interesting is the Sardinian wine cellar, where before the harvest begins in the vineyard inspections with sampling from the grapes to verify the actual state of maturation. The red grapes are then de-stemmed and the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks always with a controlled temperature of 25-30°C. The Carignano del Sulcis Reserve “Grotta Rossa” by Santadi is a Carignano which is very good since the chalice: a brilliant and intense ruby red color immediately strikes the eye. The nose emerge interesting fruity aromas with a nice finish of licorice. In the mouth we are faced with a Carignano del Sulcis elegant, full and voluminous, with a tannic texture really intriguing.
