Nero d'Avola 'Plumbago' Planeta 2016

Once again Planeta captures the best fruits of the old vines of Ulmo, playing with one of the most characteristic varieties planted in Sicily. In the woods around the historic estate overlooking Lago Arancio grows a spontaneous flower marked by vibrant violet hues, which forms brightly colored spots among the rows of vines: Plumbago borrowed the name of this flower, just for the similar colors that it shows when it slides in the glass. A wise handling of wood inputs, balanced in the aromatic context, and an intelligent enhancement of grape tannins, make this Nero d'Avola a loyal companion of Mediterranean flavors, but also a fierce thoroughbred to be enjoyed by itself.
