Poggio Valente Fattoria Le Pupille 2014

"Poggio Valente" by Fattoria Le Pupille is a hot and extremely balanced wine, with mature tones and tipycal Maremma scents. Soul of this wine and the winery itself is Elisabetta Geppetti, who has been able to exploit with his passion and his attention to the quality of its labels. The history of this great red wine begins in 1996, when Elizabeth decides to buy a beautiful vineyard of 12 hectares situated near to Pereta, in Istia. The project aims to replant immediately about half of the vineyard and in the choice Elizabeth decided to stake everything, again, on Sangiovese. Are thus selected four clones of Sangiovese which, together with the existing give life to Poggio Valente, a refined and elegant Morellino. Today, the "Poggio Valente" is really a perfect example of the intelligent, passionate and careful work that Fattoria Le Pupille was able to play, being able to give life to a Morellino really interesting, fragrant and hot, intriguing at the right point.
