The Sagrantino di Montefalco is the pride of Guagliardi family. This is the surname of the two brothers founders of the winery Perticaia, Guido and Angelo, who wanted to baptize their farm with the term which in local dialect means plow. This choice is a dedication to fields, to the land and to the Umbrian tradition, that the winery symbol local oenology and of Sagrantino wanted to accomplish. The Sagrantino grape is often characterized by strong presence of tannins but Guido and Angelo know how to work it, with skill and mastery, and the bottles of their Sagrantino di Montefalco represent this capacity, where the structure of sagrantino vines is tamed but not cancelled. The Sagrantino di Montefalco of Perticaia cellar is a red wine that intrigues with its fragrance and its hints of vanilla, on which are grafted precious shades of greedy red fruits. That's how it is expressed the heart of Italy in a tasting glass, with the dynamism and richness typical of the green Umbrian landscape, suited area to the creation of pleasant and well-structured red wines.
