Syrah 'Maroccoli' Planeta 2019

Syrah by Planeta is a wine with a robust structure, which provides high drinkability already from now, but at the same time lends itself to sophisticated developments in aging. Born as a variety adapted to continental areas, Syrah has found a specific expression, time-tested by a large number of producers, on the dry and bright land of Sicily: from the vineyards of Gurra and Maroccoli arises this version of Planeta, a wine interpreted in a modern way, yet respectful of the intrinsic features of the grape. Since 1995, when it was founded by the three cousins Alessio, Francesca and Santi Planeta, the winery has won national and international markets, showing all the infinite potential of an area always able to give wines of high quality: a striking example for that is this Syrah, a red of great elegance, and at the same time a fundamental pillar of the range of reds offered by the region.
