The Barolo "Castelletto" by Giovanni Manzone is a Barolo truly elegant and modulated, less complex than the other reserves of this great winery in the Langhe. It does not have the finesse of Gramolere or the austerity of Bricat, but can rely on a consistent freshness and citrus on a stamp that makes the final one.
We are among the beautiful vineyards of Monforte d'Alba, an area that Giovanni Manzone has helped to enhance with its expressions of Barolo, always at the top of the production quality. Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the first half of October, with a maceration on the skins for 30-40 days and aging in large barrels and drums 500 and 700 liters for 30 months. Elegant and intense, with notes of raspberry, wild berry and tobacco. Warm, well-balanced, with smooth tannins and a finish that plays on flavor and freshness.
"Castelletto": a Barolo recognizable, with a classical and unique style...
