Cartizze Dry Villa Sandi

Villa Sandi's Cartizze Dry is the sparkling wine of the Valdobbiabene tradition and perfectly represents its highest qualitative excellence. It is the label that tells the story of the small hill of Cartizze, for centuries known for the superior quality of its grapes, capable of giving refined, intense and elegant wines. The Dry dosage gives the sip an extraordinary softness and expressive harmony, which makes this sparkling wine perfect to enjoy with some small pastries or fruit tarts.

Cartizze Dry sparkling wine comes from the vineyards that Villa Sandi owns in the small territory of Cartizze. A hill of only 106 hectares, which has always represented the most prized area of the entire Prosecco Superiore territory. The wonderful sunny exposures, the mild and breezy climate, and the soils composed of ancient calcareous sandstone and clay, provide the perfect habitat for the Glera vine, which here expresses itself with refined floral aromas, exceptional fruit ripeness and the typical mineral notes characteristic of the terroir. Once the harvest is complete, the grapes are quickly soft-pressed. The flower must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. The base wines are aged for a few months in stainless steel and then transferred to autoclaves for prise de mousse and second fermentation according to the Martinotti Method.

Villa Sandi's Cartizze Dry is the perfect label to learn about the history and long tradition of Cartizze wine, by custom produced with Dry dosage in order to obtain a creamy, fruity sparkling wine with enveloping softness. In the glass it has a brilliant straw-yellow appearance. The perlage is subtle and beautifully persistent. The nose releases floral scents, aromas of apple flesh, pear, tropical fruit and citrus nuances. On the palate it is persuasive, with ripe fruit and a beautifully balanced palate finish.
