Chablis Premier Cru 'Fourchaume' La Chablisienne 2013

Fourchaume is the name chosen for the Chablis Premier Cru La Chablisienne, this cellar contains under its name more than 300 producers in the Chablis region, in France. It is here in northern Burgundy, where the best chardonnay of the world, are created. Area of white wine production, it is situated along the banks of the River Serein and has a history of winemaking since more than a thousand years. To be precise, its history began even earlier, when in prehistory age, this area was covered by the sea then receded, who left important traces in the geology of the soil of Chablis. The further geological era, has left its evidence in the clayey sediments that now cover the calcareous sediments of marine origin. Together with calcareous substrate, clay contributes to shape the extraordinary terroirs of this area, including the Premiere Cru known as Fourchaume. These, as witness eloquently the Fourchaume, are beautiful chardonnay, able to combine the flavors typical of the variety with the minerality of land geologically precious.
