Pinot Grigio Toros 2013

The Pinot Grigio by Toros is one of the strengths of the Friulian winery Franco Toros. Located in the beautiful area of Collio Friulano, between Italy and Slovenia, the winery has quickly become one of the landmarks of this area. The succession of hills, the large areas exposed to the sun, the little villages rich of history, tradition and charm, make the Collio one of the most beautiful areas of our country. An area which has always suited to the cultivation of life and the production of wines really interesting, with a unique minerality due to "ponca", the typical hilly terrain consists of stratified marl and sandstone that contain nutrients, energy and precious resources vital to the roots of the screws. The Pinot Grigio, born by a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir, is one of the vines that in recent years has risen to the forefront. Harvested in early September, the Pinot Grigio by Toros is aged in stainless steel tanks for 7 months. In the glass it has a beautiful straw yellow color, giving the nose very pleasant scents of hay and hazelnut. In the mouth we are faced with a Pinot Grigio really full, mellow, with a nice texture, elegant and with a final really persistent. A Pinot Grigio that surprised us for intensity and personality.
