Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs Fleury

Champagne Blanc De Noirs from Fleury winery is a vigorous and elegant sparkling wine, a classy expression of the Côte de Bars, the southernmost district of the Champagne region. It is made from pure Pinot Noir grapes made by blending base wines from different vintages. The winery, a historic family-owned business, was the first in the region to start a cultural ecological research path to try to limit the use of chemicals, and since 1989 it has been working following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The vineyards are located in Courteron on hills with predominantly clay-limestone soils of Jurassic origin.

Blanc De Noirs Brut is a non-vintage Champagne, whose manually harvested and carefully selected grapes are pressed by hand using a vertical press and then fermented in enameled steel vats to obtain the base wine, which is followed by the frothing or addition of liqueur de tirage. The wine then rests in the bottle on its lees for about 24 months, after which disgorgement and addition of liqueur d'expedition is carried out until the desired sugar level is reached, as per the brut category.

Fleury Blanc De Noirs shows a deep golden yellow color with brilliant reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose diffuses hints of white fruits, including pear and peach, red berries such as raspberry, biscuity notes and toasted nuances. On the palate it is intense, fruity and creamy. A Pinot Noir of good complexity, refinement and endowed with a structure that best expresses the characteristics proper to the grape variety and the clay component of the terroir where it's grown. The finish is characterized by a soft and fragrant verve that makes it very refreshing.
