The Maison Gosset-Brabant is located in one of the best areas for the production of Champagne: in the center of Ay. Some documents have come to show agricultural activities of Gosset as far back as 1584. The winery was founded, however, in 1930, when Gabriel Gosset decided to break away from one of the most illustrious vigneron families of the entire Champagne to create his own small Maison, adding to the label the name of his wife Andrée Brabant. Since then this small winery has made great strides and now produces labels that are the perfect representation of the unique terroir of Ay: located on the edge of the Marne, with slopes of vineyards and very pronounced optimum exposure to the south, south-west . Here the Pinot Noir grows particularly well, which in fact represents the main grape of the house Gosset-Brabant. One of the peculiarities of Champagne products by Gosset-Brabant is that there is absolutely no use of wood in their cuvèe.
